Quick AZ Trip

Aunt Kylie and I took Mila to Phoenix last weekend! It was my first time travelling without Patrick so I was a little nervous. Kylie was a HUGE help and we had a great time - airport and all. The trip there was actually easy! The plane was not full, Mila had a seat to herself and did great watching cartoons, eating TONS of snacks and playing with her "dudes." We don't need to discuss the trip home in detail..I will just say we made it safe and sound (several tantrums and a diaper malfunction later).

Finally arrived!  Some sun and relaxation (while Mila took a much needed nap)

First time in the pool this season!

Loungin'

We had so much fun playing in the fountains at Kierland!

Jaclyn got to hang out with us the entire weekend! Mila loved her.

Lunch after fountains. Mila did not want to sit with us.

Butterfly Garden

We stumbled across another fountain the following day and Mila felt the need to run through with her dress on!  I wanted to as well..it was 108 degrees the entire weekend!

Naked stroll

Spotting ducks

Thanks for an awesome trip Aunt Ky-Ky!

The Wiggles

I'll start with a picture of The Wiggles for those of you who aren't familiar with the group:

The Wiggles sing and dance toddler style and my toddler is OBSESSED. Seriously obsessed. She asks for The Wiggles before she asks for milk or snacks when she wakes up in the morning and it's one of her last requests before bed. Patrick and I have developed a love/hate relationship with this strange group. They keep her entertained which is great but wow are they annoying. They have videos/songs/books, you name it and Mila loves them all. One of her favorite songs is about "fruit salad." :)  Here are a couple of my videos of Mila rocking out to The Wiggles.

On a side note, Happy May Day! Wait..it's supposed to snow tomorrow?!?

Singer OR Chef?

Mila is singing all the time nowadays (in her own language of course)! Never a quiet moment in the Koester household. Here is a video of Mila at the dinner table last night...just singing away to herself!

In addition to her love of music and singing, Mila has developed an obsession with my cookbooks. I do love looking through cookbooks myself so I understand the appeal, but last night, Mila's bed time story was Betty Crocker Cupcakes. REALLY?!

Here are some pictures from our adventures lately!

We visited the good ole Topeka Zoo. I just love this picture of Mila holding hands with Patrick. Such a big girl!

Mila and her "dudes"

Enjoying Tyson's 2nd Birthday Party!

Cousins!

Mila was on the verge of a meltdown in HyVee (hence the pacifier) until we remembered the kid's pony  in the lobby up front. She loved riding this pony. Look at her form!

Enjoying  a sunny day! They have been rare!

Lola LOVE!
